Screen Beagle 1.72

Greatis Screen Beagle is an unusually refined, advanced Screen Utilities System, containing four integrated, powerful sub-utilities:
Magnifier
A sophisticated screen-viewing window which is sizable from 50 to 300 pixels, and which can zoom from x2 to x10.
Screenshot
An advanced screenshot utility which can copy either the screen, or a selected part of the screen to either the clipboard, or to a BMP, GIF, PNG or JPG file.
Measurer
This unique utility can measure distances and angles between any two points on the screen.
Dropper
This useful utility can acquire the color of any pixel on the screen, transform it into text formats (RGB, REG Hex, and HTML), and display these text representations or copy them to the clipboard.
Each of these utilities can be activated by a mouse click on the tray icon, by customizable hot key or by tray icon popup menu. After activation, the screen contents are frozen to simplify analizing the short-time states.
Screen Beagle defaults to a single tray icon, which can be right-clicked to activate any of these utilities. If you are doing intensive screen work, Screen Beagle can display separate icons for any or all of the separate utilities - allowing quick access with a single click.

select area by cursor as well as preferences

allow it to select a region using mouse dragging and a key like control or right clicking while holding the mouse. This would also require it to stop doing something that bothers me - having the magnification disappear anytime i hit a mouse...

Use Screen Beagle on secondary monitors

Thank you Dmitri for this very nice utility, but I have four monitors on my system and found that Screen Beagle only works on the primary system monitor.

should just double the magnification of dektop

Your magnifier should offer this ability - Magnify the whole screen BUT WITH NO RECTANGLE (no Border). When you move the mouse top left you see the 25 % top left corner of the screen. Ditto top right, and ditto bottom left, and ditto bottom...
